How to market and profit from the Internet
Is Google in Another Bad Mood? Is it Slapping Time Again?
Feb 26th
What’s all the noise about?
When you open the advertisements in your email, you’re going to see some references to Google and it’s ongoing battle with just about everyone out there. They have managed to win against Apple for an ad and marketing company. Now others like MSN and Yahoo are gearing for a competition to gain back some of the ground they’ve lost when Google made the deal.
Google, MSN and Yahoo, and Bing, are HUGE players in the advertising arena…but they’re not the only game in town. Now you’re seeing many guru marketers shouting that Facebook is the next Google. I’m sure what they’re referring too is since Facebook has learned how to manipulate their platform so that it shows more targeted ads more frequently and rather cheaply to it’s users, this has now become the new feeding ground for the Guru’s and would be Guru’s.
I believe Facebook is going to be a serious player in the advertising field, especially for those who do CPA. But Facebook has its own challenges and these can be difficult to maneuver around. So if you decide to use Facebook, go there with your eyes wide open because the BIG dogs could eat your lunch.
But what’s the big bash against Google?
The news is that Google has shut down a lot of websites that are in their Adwords program. That sounds like we need to be alarmed. But let me remind you that there is always someone who is trying to market the next “Beat Google” software or strategy. These guys will sell anything to anyone who buys it, thinking this is the big thing that’s going to give them their big break…with or without Google.
It has been speculated that Google is making their site more user friendly. In other words. Google wants to make sure that when a user types in a particular word or phrase, they get to see a selection of pages that are specific to their search. If that keyword that a marketer has worked so hard to get ranked turns out not to be non-relevant, Google will not show that page anymore as a search result. Google may even remove the ad from their Adwords campaign if it looks like, to Google, that the content is more relevant to making sales than to satisfying the request of the visitor.
To a marketer this makes Google appear as a monster bent on destroying any sales attempts at all. And if you look at it on the surface, this conclusion is reasonable. But what seems to happening all the more is that Google wants to make sure that the end user gets what he/she came for …valuable, relevant content.
If that’s the case, and it seems that way to me, then a smart marketer will try to add more relevant content to their money page and thereby satisfying Google’s demand and at the same time satisfying the visitors demand for relevant information.
Not So Fast, Maybe…
It could be, that the websites that got shut off are the ones who are trying to “sneak” their way around Google or are trying to take advantage of some ”backdoor”. If this is the case, it’s only making it harder for the guys who are trying to follow the rules. This kind of stuff just keeps adding new rules and frankly, it’s hard to keep track of.
I for one have several pages on the 1st and 2nd pages of Google for my keywords. That’s a great place to be. So what I’ve discovered is that if I use simple, basic marketing techniques and strategies, I won’t have to worry too much about Google…or any other search engine.
Once I find the “groove” that fits within the framework of Google, all I have to is repeat that process over and over again with any product. After all, people will type in a keyword or keyword phrase for a product they are interested and millions of folks will be doing that through Google. So if I want them to look at my product, I should go where they are and just wave my keyword flag, That means I’m on the page their looking at, and say “Hear I am, Pick Me…Pick Me.??
If it hasn’t happened yet, it will. Some guru will take advantage of the noise out there and probably make a lot of money in the process. I really don’t know what they’re complaining about. It could be, that in the chaos of confusion, the person who comes out with a new “Beat Google” product will be the winner. So it makes me wonder…what’s their problem.?
While many will be complaining about how Google keeps slapping them, the rest of us will not even hear their cry. “Now what’s that noise I hear about Google. Hmm! Oh! It’s just the sound of malcontent and free enterprise trying to occupy the same space.
How to Make Affiliate Commissions!
Feb 15th
There is one truth to all Internet marketing that holds no matter what your marketing and that is that we are all here to make money. That in turn, if done successfully, gives us the freedom to work at home and change our lifestyle for the better.
One of the ways that a bunch of people make money is by marketing and selling affiliate products. The marketer doesn’t create these products, he only markets them. That’s how he or she is able to create affiliate commissions. So the more products you sell, the higher the commissions.
One truth holds and that is…in order to sell online, you need to get traffic to your site. That’s usually the biggest hurdle most marketers have to deal with. It’s so difficult sometimes that most newbies give up way too soon, never realizing their dream.
So I want to give you a little hint that you can use to help you make those huge affiliate commission checks. Here it is:
Create a site specific blog with a product specific domain name.
Now don’t get lost here. It’s real simple. Just determine what product you’re going to promote, build a blog where you can post some articles and a few images that talk about the benefits of the product, buy a domain name that relates to the product or product type, publish your site with product specific keywords, add a few articles to it occasionally, a just check it once in a while.
Rinse and repeat.
Do this and you have just create your very own cash sucking, money making system. This is what smart marketers do. One other thing is this…create several sites as described above and have patience. Let it work while you’re busy building for those huge affiliate commission checks.
Here is a product that teaches this technique in detail. I recommend it because I use and I’m getting the results I was hoping for. It’s called The Affiliate Code and it’s worth every cent.
